John Whitehead was born on December 30 1944 and lost his courageous but short battle against lung cancer on April 24th 2011.He was married to Pamela for 41 years and was the dad to two sons, Chris and Paul and two Daughters, Lisa and Jacqui. He was also the much loved Grandad to 6 grandchildren, Luke, Ryan, Kane, Ruaridh, Lulu and Lexi. He also has 2 new grandchildren who although will never know him will be told what a special Grandad he would have been to them - in 2014 a new grandson born who is named after him - Henry John and in 2017 a new granddaughter Violet Dulcie. Anyone who knew him knows he loved all his family passionately. He was a keen sportsman with golf being his favourite. He is much loved and will be greatly missed and remembered by all his friends and family.
